For an eighth consecutive year, Satori Capital was honored with a “Best Places to Work in Money Management” award from Pensions & Investments magazine. This year, Satori ranked third in the small employer category. Overall, 121 firms were included in the 2022 rankings.
Now in its eleventh year, the P&I program identifies and recognizes companies in the money management industry that build healthy and thriving work cultures. P&I partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm, to assess firms through surveys that evaluated factors such as employee engagement and satisfaction, workplace policies and practices, benefits, and demographics. “The companies named to this year’s Best Places to Work list demonstrate a commitment to building and maintaining a strong workplace culture,” said P&I executive editor Julie Tatge. “Even as firms grappled with volatile markets and stresses from the pandemic, their employees said they felt strong support from their managers, enabling them to do their best work.”
Satori was recognized for its “Optimal Living” program, which is a whole-person approach to benefits that includes healthy chef-prepared lunches, on-site chiropractic and massage services, executive health screenings for all team members, expert guest speakers, a semiannual gift box of curated products to support optimal living, and a yearly $1,000 allowance per employee for fitness and wellness-related purchases. The profile on Satori also noted that the firm pays 100% of premiums for medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their dependents and spotlighted Satori’s annual gratitude event, which features a personal letter of thanks to each team member.
The profile on Satori in P&I‘s December 2022 issue includes the following quotations from the anonymous employee survey:
“I am very proud to work for Satori. In particular, I think Satori does a great job of establishing, communicating, and reinforcing its core values and culture across the entire firm. Additionally, I appreciate that all of my colleagues, including those who work above me (i.e., my bosses, supervisors, etc.), don’t view the organization hierarchically and instead include me in all facets of a project life cycle and value and solicit my opinion at critical decision-making points.”
“Satori walks its talk in everything it does. The company has created a culture that is purpose-driven, high-performing, entrepreneurial, collaborative, inclusive, and loving – yes, love is alive and well at Satori!”
The P&I award is one of several Satori has received for workplace excellence. In addition to winning the P&I award in the seven previous years, the firm has been named to the “Best Companies to Work for in Fort Worth” list by Fort Worth Inc. magazine every year since 2016 and was certified as a “Great Place to Work” by the Great Place to Work organization in 2021 and 2022. Satori ranked highly on the Texas Association of Business’ “100 Best Companies to Work for in Texas” list in 2019 through 2022 and has repeatedly been included in the Dallas Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work in North Texas” list.
Disclaimer: The Best Places to Work in Money Management honor is awarded by Pensions & Investments magazine to businesses in the financial services industry, including Satori Capital. Winners were assessed through an anonymous employee survey that measured key areas of an organization’s culture ranging from compensation and benefits to trust in senior leadership. Similar independent employee surveys were conducted for the FW Inc. magazine, Dallas Business Journal, Great Places to Work, and Texas Association of Business awards. Satori Capital did not pay to participate in any ranking, and employee participation in all surveys was completely voluntary.
