For the second consecutive year, Satori Capital was honored with a place on Inc. magazine’s Founder-Friendly Investors list. The 2022 list spotlights private equity and venture investors who inspire the trust of business founders through a strong track record of steadfast support.
“It gives us great pleasure to shine a light on the PE and VC firms that have founders’ backs, especially during unprecedented challenges ranging from record inflation to the Great Resignation,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor in chief of Inc. “By developing relationships with and supporting entrepreneurs for the long term, these private equity firms are more than investors, they’re partners.”
Business founders shared their experiences of working with investors and described the ways in which their companies had grown under shared stewardship. By basing its selection on this direct input, Inc. hopes to provide advice from one entrepreneur to another on where to find investment that goes beyond money.
“We are humbled and grateful to once again receive recognition for our focus on being a great partner to our portfolio companies,” said Satori co-founder Sunny Vanderbeck. “Satori is deeply committed to creating extraordinary outcomes for all stakeholders, and high-trust relationships with our leadership teams are core to this mission.”
In Satori’s view, its approach to investing, built on the principles of conscious capitalism, is a great fit for business founders. The firm’s unique structure allows it to support leadership teams for as long as the partnership story plays out – for a hundred years, if need be. Mr. Vanderbeck’s best-selling book, Selling Without Selling Out: How to Sell Your Business Without Selling Your Soul, provides guidance to help business leaders articulate their priorities and find a buyer or capital partner who shares their values.
The Founder-Friendly Investors list is featured in the October 2022 issue of Inc. magazine and can be viewed online here.
